I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. I began my career in mental health in 2012 as an intern earning my Master’s in Social Welfare at UCLA. My original goal at that time was to work in public health in a macro capacity—little did I know that I would inadvertently stumble upon my passion while interning as a clinical therapist at a non-profit organization in Echo Park. I immediately knew with every fiber of my being that I found my calling to be of service to others and support in emotional healing. For over a decade, it has been an honor and privilege to be witness to countless experiences of growth, resilience and healing.

I am currently the Head of Service and Director of Mental Health at El Centro Del Pueblo, a non-profit organization working with disenfranchised children and families in the community of Echo Park. Within this capacity, I oversee our contract with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and the mental health team, consisting of clinicians, a case manager, psychiatrist and Master’s level clinical interns. Though I appreciate this administrative role, my sense of purpose and connection to my calling is lived through my work with my clients in private practice.

In private practice, I work with individuals, families and couples who are experiencing distress due to trauma, depression, anxiety, betrayal, loss of connection and/or intimacy. Throughout my years in the field, I have been trained in various evidence-based modalities that include Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brainspotting, Family Systems and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). My therapeutic approach is gentle, collaborative and client centered. I am cognizant that every person’s life trajectory is different, thus tailor my approach to every client’s needs.
